The Music

Through the Music Outback remote schools program, over 200 songs telling the stories of remote Indigenous kids have been written. Many of these songs have been recorded, and a number of these are presented here.

The remote Central Australian schools of Ti Tree and Utopia communities have released their own CD's as a continuing development of their work with Music Outback. This has brought them great pride in the schools and communities alike. Song books have been created for these songs as well, creating culturally relevant literary resources that can be used for years to come.

The Music Outback team at Ti Tree consists of Mal Webb and Seini 'Sista Native' Taumoepeau, both of whom have applied their unique talents to facilitate a remarkable collection of songs. Likewise at Utopia, Matt Hill and Kelly Staines have taken kids on a journey that has resulted in a wonderful expression of their own lives and stories in the remote desert country of Australia.
